Background

Solar energy has become an essential part of sustainable development, playing a vital role in both everyday life and large-scale power generation. Accurate meteorological data is crucial for evaluating solar radiation conditions and determining photovoltaic efficiency. Reliable monitoring also ensures optimal solar power station design and performance.

Project Overview

This project was deployed by the Chinese Academy of Sciences to monitor key atmospheric parameters at a photovoltaic power research base. The FRT solar radiation monitoring station was selected for its ability to measure temperature, humidity, wind speed, wind direction, atmospheric pressure, UV radiation, and solar radiation—providing all the necessary environmental data for solar energy research.

Solution

The FRT station features a compact, automated system with remote data collection and real-time transmission. With high accuracy and reliability, it supports unmanned operation and long-term deployment in harsh conditions. Its modular design allows easy maintenance and integration into larger solar power networks.

Results

With real-time environmental data, the project team can assess solar resource potential, track performance, and detect anomalies. The solution has enhanced research efficiency and provided strong technical support for solar energy development.
