Building China’s first intelligent meteorological water-saving irrigation demonstration zone in Shandong Huantai County, researching and developing water-saving irrigation meteorological forecasting service technology suitable for multiple irrigation methods, guiding large-scale growers and farmers to irrigate in a timely and appropriate manner, and achieving cost reduction and yield increase.

Composition of meteorological monitoring stations
- Sensor: It is a core component that can monitor real-time meteorological elements such as temperature, humidity, wind speed, wind direction, light intensity, precipitation, etc. Some sensors can also monitor soil temperature and humidity, total solar radiation, water conductivity, pH, etc., ensuring accurate and reliable data.
- Collector and transmission module: The collector collects sensor data and processes it preliminarily, and then stably transmits the data to the backend computer through a wireless transmission module.
- Solar panels and batteries: Solar panels provide energy, while batteries cope with periods of no light, ensuring the continuous operation of weather stations, in line with environmental protection concepts, and reducing costs.
- Backend computer terminal: The smart agricultural meteorological monitoring station is connected to the customer data processing platform to perform algorithm and model processing and analysis on the collected data, predict weather trends, and provide support for agricultural production decisions.
Working principle
Firstly, sensors collect real-time data on key meteorological elements in the agricultural environment; Then, the collector collects and preliminarily processes this data, and transmits it to the customer’s backend computer terminal through a wireless transmission module; Finally, on the client’s backend computer terminal, the data is processed and analyzed through algorithms and models, and transformed into visual information that is easy for users to understand and use. Based on historical data and models, future weather conditions are predicted.
Function
- Real time monitoring of meteorological data: It can monitor the temperature, humidity, light intensity, wind speed, wind direction, rainfall and other data of farmland in real time, providing reference for the rational arrangement of agricultural activities.
- Warning of Disaster Weather: By real-time monitoring and analysis of meteorological data, early warning of disasters such as drought, floods, hail, frost, etc. can be given, allowing agricultural producers sufficient time to take preventive measures.
- Optimize agricultural resource allocation: Help agricultural producers adjust fertilization, irrigation, pest control and other measures reasonably according to changes in meteorological conditions, improve resource utilization efficiency, and reduce costs.
- Supporting agricultural scientific research: providing data support for researchers to analyze the impact of different meteorological conditions on crop growth and development, explore the optimal meteorological conditions for crop growth, cultivate excellent crop varieties, etc. It can also be used to study the impact of climate change on agricultural production.
- Promoting the development of agricultural informatization: As an important part of agricultural informatization, achieving rapid transmission and sharing of agricultural information allows agricultural producers to remotely monitor and manage the meteorological conditions of farmland. It can also be combined with agricultural Internet of Things, big data and other technologies to build a smart agricultural management system.
